This computer desk is very easy to put together; I guess it took about one - very leisurely - hour from start to finish.
It is definitely sturdy enough for my purposes.
Interestingly enough outside of the framing and glass apparatus it came with two more of everything (i.e. screws and plugs) than needed.
While it does come with an Allen wrench you will need to furnish your own Phillips head screwdriver.
Finally I now know what tempered glass means! ; )

Very nice workdesk!This desk looks great and has alot of desktop space. Just received it last night and it was very easy to install. Took me over 3 hours but I was doing it by myself and decided not to use an electric screwdriver to prevent overtightened screws or damages yes call me cautious :P
Anyway the thing that impressed me from beginning to end for the installation was the well packaged parts and especially very well-labeled parts leading to major ease of installation. The instruction manual is very well-detailed and points out exactly which part number and screw number to use at each step. Very idiot-proof in my opinion. All pieces arrived in great condition. The keyboard plank had a minor scratch on the rear surface but nothing to really upset me about. One screw did not have its head indented properly so I couldn't use the Phillips screwdriver but thank goodness a bag of spare screws was included for each of the approximate 8 screw types. This is a nice luxury I rarely see other manufacturers provide.
My only other gripes about this desk are that:
1) The corner surface's single straight leg support seems to fall a little short. Maybe it's my uneven floorboards but I had to untwist the leveling wheel to its maximum support distance.
2) The 4 front legs also tend to be a bit sharp. During shipment they are covered by a black plastic sheath/protector. I usually wear slippers at home but I plan to drill holes into the sheaths and re-insert them before screwing the circular feet back in so that I would not accidentally cut my toes or feet when moving about at the desk. They should have made the plastic sheaths gray with openings at the bottom to let use simply attach the table feet right into the legs.
All in all still an excellent product and willing to give it 5 stars.

Nice modern looking desk.I got this desk three months ago based just on the looks of it on Amazon. I think it looks better in the photos here than in my room because almost all of the space is occupied by something. One thing I did not realize and which the photo does not show is the fact that the miles of wiring for two computers printer speakers router etc. will show right through the glass. I will have to work on that with tubing or something. The other thing to note is that the steel frames on the desktop - two outer and two inner - are not flush with the glass. This is a good thing for the outer edges but the inner frames could be a problem if the monitor is lying on it or if you want to place your mouse pad over it which I really wish I could. The frame is about two millimeters above the glass. The glass top has moved a little whenever I have moved the monitors. But other than that I am pleased with the desk especially for the price.

Works as Intended But What About My Knees?
For anyone wanting yet another piece of furniture but has space constraints the Winsome Wood Foldable Desk is an ideal choice.
The surface comfortably holds my laptop a lamp various desk items and has space to spare on one side or the other for papers. It folds up easily when I need to slip it out of the way.
The major detraction here is the keyboard shelf. If you like to do anything with your legs/knees other than sit in the prim and proper upright position at the desk then you're in trouble. Removing the shelf is the simple solution but since it does aid with the stability of the desk the desk is a wee bit wobbly without it.
A side note: Winsome Wood is a name I've known since I was very young. It has a great deal of quality credibility attached to it. And while this desk is all wood and functional I would have expected something of slightly higher quality given the name. However I did only pay about $100 for it so I'm not really complaining.

Great Table!This table is pretty awesome. Its ultra-compact and sturdy aluminum frame holds my 19" monitor and printer perfectly. The wheels are great for when I need to move the table during vacuuming. The price is great and the table takes around 10 minutes to put together. All-in-all a good product.

A good deal for the price !I was looking for a computer desk that can fit in my small apartment and I do not want to spend a lot of money on it. And I found this ! I like the fact that this desk is not that heavy because I live in the 3rd floor and I need to move the box up to my apartment by myself . The desk is very easy to set up it is a perfect size desk for my 22 inch monitor and I still have plenty of space for my stationery. To me the desk is very sturdy even after I put my computer on it. It is really a good deal for the price !
My shipment arrived on time and in good condition nothing was broken or missing. I also bought a 4 tier book case from this seller that match to the desk. I will post a picture of the desk and the book case later on.

Win some lose someAfter reading the June 8 2007 review I was worried about the quality of packaging. When this desk arrived at my front door I saw that my fears were justified. The package was compact leaving little room for protective material like bubble wrap. Careless handling might have caused some damage. Fortunately my desk arrived in perfect condition. The legs desk top and keyboard tray were all wrapped to protect against scratches.
This is one of the few products not made in China. It was made in Thailand.
The wrench needed to attach the legs was included and I used my Phillips screwdriver to screw on the front knob. The magnets are too powerful making it difficult to pull open the keyboard compartment. I solved that problem by placing four pieces of transparent packing tape over the magnets. All told including the taping assembly took me around 40 minutes.
The legs tray and desk top are all made of beautifully finished solid hardwood with a reddish blonde color. The tray slides in and out smoothly. The style is a bit plain and unadorned but the quality and functionality are excellent. I'm very pleased with this purchase especially because the modest price of $130 included free shipping.

Courtroom UseWe are using this product in court with trial laptops. The prosecution's side of the courtroom has its own built in table provided. We were provided nothing. The cart was easy to put together is light and has a sleek looking design. Easily moves to where needed and adjusts easily. Government's IT personnel commented about how nice it is. Love it.

Excellent computer table for travelersIf you travel and you have a notebook computer you need this table. It truly weighs only 3 pounds. I couldn't believe the small size of the package when it arrived. But don't let the size of the package fool you. The top expands to hold not only a notebook computer but also provides ample space for a mouse if you use one.
The legs telescope down and fit into the underside of the table. When the legs are opened they twist securely to whatever height you need. When traveling that's important since hotel chairs come in various heights. You'll be able to adjust this little table to whichever height is most comfortable for you to work.
There is also a document holder included. It's not fancy but it does the job. The document holder comes apart and stores underneath the table along with the legs. There's a spongy place there to store the document holder.
This table is so small when the legs are stored underneath that you can easily store it in a briefcase or whatever case you use to carry your notebook computer.

Overall the best lap desk I've seenI've wanted a product like this for some time but I'm picky. Some I've seen were too flimsy others too heavy still others too small or too pricey. When I saw this one on Amazon I took a chance and bought it. I'm glad I did.
To me it's the best of all possible worlds. It's surprisingly sturdy yet also quite light. It's got room for my 15" laptop and could easily accomodate a 17" model without a problem. It's got two padded cushions on the bottom one slightly thicker than the other so it slants upward as it sits on your lap just right for a book or PC.
The really great thing about it is the set of zippered pouches on the bottom. They have plenty of room for pens a mouse sticky note pads etc. It also has two deep crevices on top near the handle that can hold tons of writing instruments or whatever. The pouches have Velcro strips to hold them against the bottom of the board but they can hang down if you prefer. Whoever designed this item put some real thought into it.
Unfortunately the picture here on Amazon doesn't show the top of the board. That's a shame because it really should be seen from both sides to be appreciated. I heartily recommend it to anyone looking for a great lap desk.
